Indication
Fluoroquinolone antibiotic for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections.
Ingredients
- Ofloxacin USP 200 mg per film coated tablet
Direction
As directed by the physician.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- abdominal discomfort.
- Headache
- dizziness
- insomnia.
- Skin rash
- photosensitivity.
- Tendinitis or tendon rupture (rare).
- Allergic reactions
- stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription antibiotic
- use only under medical supervision.
- Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones.
- Avoid in pregnancy
- breastfeeding
- and in children unless advised by a physician.
- Use with caution in patients with epilepsy
- CNS disorders
- or QT prolongation risk.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
