Lostad 50 50 mg

Indication

Treatment of essential hypertension in adults; treatment of nephropathy in type 2 diabetic patients with proteinuria; reduction of risk of stroke in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy.

Ingredients

• Losartan Potassium

Direction

Adults: 50 mg once daily; may be increased to 100 mg once daily based on blood pressure response. Use as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Dizziness
• hypotension
• fatigue
• or hyperkalemia may occur.
• Renal dysfunction or angioedema have been reported uncommonly.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation
• allergy
• or any unusual symptom develops.

Precautions

• Do not use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Use with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis
• severe renal/hepatic impairment
• or volume depletion.
• Monitor potassium levels and renal function periodically.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have any underlying medical condition or are taking other medications.
