Indication
Treatment and suppression of herpes simplex virus infections (genital and orofacial), and treatment of varicella-zoster (chickenpox and shingles) infections.
Ingredients
- Aciclovir 400 mg
Direction
Take orally as prescribed by the physician. Refer to package insert for dosage and other information.
Side effects
- May cause nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- headache
- dizziness
- or skin rash.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if severe rash
- hallucinations
- kidney dysfunction
- or signs of an allergic reaction occur.
Precautions
- Prescription
- only medicine.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use in renal impairment
- dehydration
- pregnancy
- or breastfeeding.
- Maintain adequate fluid intake during treatment.
