Cephalexin Ephac 500 mg

Indication

Respiratory tract infections, ENT and bronchopulmonary infections, urinary tract infections, gynaecological and obstetric infections, skin and joint infections, gonorrhoea and syphilis when penicillin is not suitable.

Ingredients

• Cephalexin

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 500 mg three times daily. Children 5 to 12 years: 250 mg three times daily. Use only as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• May include nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal discomfort or skin rash. Stop use and consult a doctor if irritation
• severe rash
• or allergic symptoms appear.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Avoid if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins. Stop immediately and seek medical advice if any allergic reaction occurs.
