Indication
- Relief of acute bronchospasm - Management of asthma symptoms - Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) - Prevention of exercise-induced asthma
Ingredients
- Salbutamol (also known as Albuterol)
Direction
Administer via oral inhalation using a metered-dose inhaler or nebulizer. Usually 1-2 puffs every 4 to 6 hours as needed for symptom relief.
Side effects
- Fine skeletal muscle tremors
- Tachycardia or palpitations
- Nervousness or restlessness
- Headache
- Muscle cramps
Precautions
- Cardiovascular disorders or arrhythmias
- Hyperthyroidism or thyrotoxicosis
- History of seizures
- Risk of paradoxical bronchospasm
- May cause hypokalemia (low potassium)
