Cloderm Clobetasol Propionate 0.0568% w/w (equivalent to Clobetasol 0.05% w/w)

Indication

Short-term treatment of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of moderate to severe corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as psoriasis, lichen planus, severe eczema and discoid lupus erythematosus.

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by your doctor or pharmacist, usually once or twice daily. Refer to the enclosed leaflet for precautions, warnings and contraindications.

Side effects

• Local burning
• stinging
• itching or redness at the application site.
• Skin thinning
• telangiectasia
• striae
• perioral dermatitis or pigmentation changes with prolonged or extensive use.
• Allergic contact dermatitis or secondary infection of treated skin.

Precautions

• For external use only. Do not use in or around the eyes.
• Do not apply on the face
• axillae or groin for prolonged periods
• and avoid use under occlusive dressings without medical advice.
• Limit continuous use to short courses (usually up to 2 weeks).
