Indication
Treatment of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcer disease, and reduction of risk of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in critically ill patients. Immediate-release formulation for rapid acid control.
Ingredients
- Omeprazole
- Sodium bicarbonate
Direction
Adults: empty contents of one sachet (40 mg) into 1 to 2 tablespoons (15 to 30 mL) of water to form a suspension. Stir well and drink immediately, then refill cup with water and drink. Do not use other liquids or foods. Use as directed by the physician.
Side effects
- May cause headache
- abdominal pain
- diarrhoea
- constipation
- nausea
- or flatulence.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if rash
- swelling
- or other allergic reactions occur.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially if you have heart failure
- kidney disease
- hypertension
- are on a sodium
- restricted diet
- are pregnant
- or breastfeeding.
- Inform your doctor of all other medicines you are taking due to possible interactions.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation
- allergic reaction
- or unusual symptoms occur.
