Indication
Traditional herbal laxative for the symptomatic relief of occasional constipation.
Ingredients
- Sennae fructus extract (Senna fruit)
- Aloe vera folium extract
- Foeniculi semen extract (Fennel seed)
Direction
Adults: take 1 to 2 capsules at bedtime with a glass of water, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Effect usually occurs 6 to 12 hours after intake. Not for prolonged daily use.
Side effects
- Abdominal cramps
- gripping pain
- nausea
- or diarrhea may occur
- especially with higher doses.
- Prolonged use may cause electrolyte disturbances
- dependence
- or melanosis coli.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or unexpected reactions occur.
Precautions
- Do not use in cases of intestinal obstruction
- severe abdominal pain of unknown cause
- appendicitis
- inflammatory bowel disease
- or severe dehydration.
- Not recommended during pregnancy
- breastfeeding
- or for children under 12 years unless directed by a doctor.
- Avoid prolonged use (more than 1 to 2 weeks) without medical supervision
- as it may lead to dependence and electrolyte imbalance.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if constipation persists or worsens.
- Stop use if irritation
- allergy
- or any unexpected reaction occurs.
