Indication

Vitamin C supplement indicated for vitamin C deficiency and scurvy; also used to support immune function and general well-being.

Ingredients

• Ascorbic acid
• Sodium ascorbate

Direction

Usually 1 to 2 lozenges daily. Allow the tablet to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Dosage may be increased according to condition as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• High doses may cause mild gastrointestinal upset or diarrhoea.
• Rarely may contribute to formation of kidney stones in predisposed individuals.
• If any irritation or allergic reaction occurs

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with a history of kidney stones (oxalate) or iron overload disorders.
