Tuk Pour Svay (Gentian Violet) Topical solution

Indication

Topical antiseptic and antifungal solution used in traditional Cambodian pharmacy practice for minor skin infections, oral thrush, ringworm, and surface wounds, as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.

Ingredients

• Gentian violet (crystal violet)

Direction

For external use only. Apply a small amount of solution to the affected area with a clean cotton swab once or twice daily, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Allow to dry. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes (unless specifically directed). Keep tightly closed.

Side effects

• May cause local skin staining
• mild irritation
• redness
• or allergic reaction. Rarely
• mucosal ulceration with repeated use on mucous membranes. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation
