Indication
Treatment of essential hypertension in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with losartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone. Fixed-dose combination of an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (Losartan) and a thiazide diuretic (Hydrochlorothiazide).
Ingredients
- Losartan Potassium 50 mg
- Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg
Direction
Adults: one film-coated tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the physician. Refer to package insert for full dosage and administration instructions.
Side effects
- May cause dizziness
- headache
- fatigue
- electrolyte disturbances (low potassium
- low sodium)
- or rarely angioedema.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any allergic reaction
- severe dizziness
- swelling of face/lips
- or other unusual symptoms occur.
Precautions
- Prescription medicine (Rx)
- to be taken only as prescribed by a doctor.
- Inform doctor of any history of kidney or liver disease
- allergy to sulfonamides
- or pregnancy/breastfeeding.
- Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Monitor blood pressure
- electrolytes
- and kidney function regularly.
- Keep out of reach of children.
