Indication
- Megaloblastic anemia treatment - Folic acid deficiency prevention - Neural tube defect prevention - Nutritional support during pregnancy - Macrocytic anemia management
Ingredients
- Folic Acid (Vitamin B9)
Direction
Take orally once daily or as directed by a physician. Can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Rare allergic reactions
- Nausea
- Abdominal bloating
- Bitter taste in mouth
- Sleep disturbances
Precautions
- May mask Vitamin B12 deficiency
- Not for undiagnosed megaloblastic anemia
- Monitor patients with epilepsy
- Avoid use in pernicious anemia
