Flemex Carbocysteine 375 mg per tablet

Indication

Mucolytic agent used as adjunctive therapy in respiratory disorders characterised by excessive or viscous mucus, including acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma with mucus retention, and other conditions involving difficulty in expectoration of mucus.

Ingredients

• Carbocysteine

Direction

Adults: 2 tablets (750 mg) three times a day, reduced to 1 tablet (375 mg) three times a day when satisfactory response is obtained. Children: as directed by a physician. Swallow tablets whole with water.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated. May occasionally cause gastrointestinal discomfort
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• or skin rash. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any severe or unusual reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with active peptic ulcer disease. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• or if you have other medical conditions or are taking other medications. Discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if hypersensitivity reactions occur.
