Indication
Multi-symptom relief for children ages 6 and over. DayQuil Kids: relief of chest congestion, nasal congestion, and cough (non-drowsy). NyQuil Kids: nighttime relief of cough, sneezing, and runny nose. Free of alcohol and acetaminophen.
Ingredients
- Dextromethorphan HBr
- Phenylephrine HCl
- Guaifenesin
- Chlorpheniramine maleate
Direction
Use only as directed. Follow the on-pack dosing chart by age and weight. Use a measuring device. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not use DayQuil and NyQuil at the same time.
Side effects
- May cause drowsiness (NyQuil)
- excitability
- dizziness
- nausea
- or stomach upset. Stop use and consult a doctor if any adverse reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Do not use in children under 6 years. Do not use if the child is taking other medicines containing the same active ingredients
- MAO inhibitors
- or other cough/cold medicines. Consult a doctor before use if the child has chronic cough
- asthma
- high blood pressure
- heart disease
- thyroid disease
- diabetes
- or liver/kidney disease. Stop use and consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or last more than 7 days.
