- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Blood glucose management - Insulin resistance control
Ingredients
- Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with or after meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal bloating
- Metallic taste
- Vitamin B12 deficiency
Precautions
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Monitor kidney function regularly
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
- Discontinue before radiological imaging procedures
- Not for type 1 diabetes
