Indication
- High cholesterol (Hypercholesterolemia) - Prevention of cardiovascular disease - Reduction of heart attack risk - Treatment of hypertriglyceridemia
Ingredients
- Atorvastatin (as Atorvastatin Calcium)
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Muscle pain or weakness (myalgia)
- Nausea or diarrhea
- Nasopharyngitis
- Elevated liver enzymes
- Headache
Precautions
- Contraindicated in active liver disease
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
- Monitor liver function during treatment
- Avoid consumption of grapefruit juice
