Indication
- Hypercholesterolemia - Hypertriglyceridemia - Mixed dyslipidemia - Reduction of elevated LDL cholesterol - Increase of HDL cholesterol
Ingredients
- Fenofibrate
Direction
Take orally once daily with a main meal to improve absorption. Swallow the capsule whole with water.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea and vomiting
- Muscle pain or weakness
- Headache
- Skin rash
- Elevated liver enzymes
Precautions
- Severe renal impairment
- Hepatic dysfunction or gallbladder disease
- Known hypersensitivity to fibrates
- Monitor for muscle pain (myalgia)
- Regular liver function monitoring required
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding contraindication
