Indication
Proteolytic enzyme used to reduce oedema (swelling) and inflammation associated with soft tissue injury, trauma or surgery.
Ingredients
- Alphachymotrypsine (Alpha
- chymotrypsin)
Direction
Take orally or sublingually as directed by a physician. Usual dose is several tablets daily in divided doses.
Side effects
- May cause mild allergic reactions or changes in the colour
- consistency or odour of the stools.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation
- allergy
- or any adverse reaction occurs.
- Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to chymotrypsin or with severe coagulation disorders. Prescription only medicine.
