Indication
- Neuropathic pain management - Postherpetic neuralgia - Adjunctive therapy for epilepsy - Partial onset seizures
Ingredients
- Gabapentin
Direction
Take orally with or without food. Usually started at a low dose and increased gradually as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Somnolence or drowsiness
- Peripheral edema (swelling)
- Fatigue or tiredness
- Nystagmus (involuntary eye movement)
- Ataxia (lack of coordination)
Precautions
- Monitor for suicidal thoughts or behaviors
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation of therapy
- Reduce dosage in renal impairment
- May cause significant CNS depression
- Caution when driving or operating machinery
