Indication

Treatment and suppression of herpes simplex virus infections (HSV-1 and HSV-2) including genital herpes, oral herpes, and herpes labialis. Treatment of herpes zoster (shingles) and varicella (chickenpox).

• Aciclovir 400 mg

Direction

For oral use. Refer to package insert for dosage and other information. Store below 30°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Side effects

• May include nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• headache
• dizziness
• skin rash. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if allergic reaction or irritation occurs.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment or dehydration. Maintain adequate hydration during treatment. Prescription only. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
