Indication
- Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones - Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) - Chronic liver disease management - Prevention of gallstones during weight loss - Biliary sludge treatment
Ingredients
- Ursodeoxycholic Acid (Ursodiol)
Direction
Take orally with food or milk. Usually 2 to 3 doses daily or as directed by a physician based on body weight.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea or vomiting
- Abdominal discomfort
- Skin rash or itching
- Dizziness
Precautions
- Not for calcified gallstones
- Avoid in biliary tract obstruction
- Monitor liver function tests regularly
- Not for acute cholecystitis
- Use cautiously during pregnancy
