Indication
- Chronic treatment of asthma - Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm - Seasonal allergic rhinitis - Perennial allergic rhinitis
Ingredients
- Montelukast Sodium
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily, preferably in the evening for asthma or at any time for allergic rhinitis. Can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Dizziness
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Mood or behavior changes
Precautions
- Not for acute asthma attacks
- Monitor for neuropsychiatric symptoms
- Caution in patients with aspirin sensitivity
- Do not abruptly substitute for corticosteroids
