Indication

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent angina (chest pain).

Ingredients

• Amlodipine (as Amlodipine Besilate BP) 5 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. The usual adult dose is 5 mg taken orally once daily.

Side effects

• May cause ankle swelling (oedema)
• headache
• flushing
• dizziness and palpitations. If side effects occur or persist
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment or severe low blood pressure. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
