Indication
- Inflammatory and allergic conditions - Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis - Bronchial asthma and COPD - Autoimmune diseases - Severe skin conditions - Nephrotic syndrome
Ingredients
- Prednisolone
Direction
Take orally with food, usually once daily in the morning to mimic natural cortisol rhythm. Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting a doctor.
Side effects
- Increased appetite and weight gain
- Insomnia and mood changes
- Stomach irritation or indigestion
- Increased susceptibility to infections
- Fluid retention and swelling
Precautions
- Avoid abrupt withdrawal after long
- term use
- Caution in patients with hypertension
- May mask signs of infection
- Monitor blood sugar in diabetic patients
- Use cautiously in peptic ulcer disease
