Linaglip Plus 2.5 mg / 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults as an adjunct to diet and exercise, when treatment with both linagliptin and metformin is appropriate to improve glycaemic control.

Ingredients

• Linagliptin 2.5 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg

Direction

Usually taken twice daily with meals, as directed by the physician. The dose is individualised based on the patient's current regimen and blood glucose levels.

Side effects

• May cause hypoglycaemia (especially when combined with other diabetes medicines)
• diarrhoea
• nausea
• and nasopharyngitis. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur or persist.

Precautions

• Not for use in patients with severe kidney impairment
• diabetic ketoacidosis or metabolic acidosis. Avoid excessive alcohol. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use

• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
