Treviamet 50 mg / 1000 mg

Indication

Used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both sitagliptin and metformin is appropriate.

Ingredients

• Sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate equivalent to Sitagliptin 50 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride USP 1000 mg

Direction

Usually one tablet twice daily with meals, or as directed by the physician. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• diarrhoea
• stomach upset
• headache and (rarely) low blood sugar. If you experience any side effects
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or a history of pancreatitis. Stop before procedures using contrast dye. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
