Salazopyrine 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease).

Ingredients

• Sulfasalazine with povidone 535 mg equivalent to Sulfasalazine 500 mg

Direction

Gastro-resistant tablets to be swallowed whole with a little water. Take as directed by your doctor. Read the leaflet before use.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• headache
• rash
• loss of appetite and reversible reduction in blood cell counts
• may colour urine and skin orange
• yellow. If you notice any side effects
• please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

• prescription only medicine. Do not use in pregnant women unless no therapeutic alternative (Salazopyrine + pregnancy = danger). Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
