Indication
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - Acid-related dyspepsia - Erosive esophagitis - H. pylori eradication (combination therapy)
Ingredients
- Omeprazole
Direction
Take orally once daily, preferably in the morning 30 to 60 minutes before a meal. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Nausea and vomiting
- Flatulence
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to proton pump inhibitors
- May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy
- Risk of bone fractures (long
- term use)
- Risk of Vitamin B12 deficiency
- Potential for magnesium deficiency (long
- term)
