Indication
- Acute diarrhea - Symptomatic treatment of diarrhea in children
Ingredients
- Racecadotril
Direction
Administer orally by mixing granules with food or water. Usually taken three times daily at regular intervals until diarrhea stops.
Side effects
- Headache
- Skin rash (erythema)
- Vomiting
- Constipation
- Itching (pruritus)
Precautions
- Not for bloody or mucoid stools
- Monitor for signs of dehydration
- Avoid if child has kidney disease
- Avoid if child has liver disease
- Not for use in chronic diarrhea
