Indication

Sterile intravenous solution used to provide free water and carbohydrate calories for fluid replacement and maintenance in patients unable to take adequate fluids or nutrition by mouth, and as a vehicle for compatible IV medications, administered under medical supervision.

Ingredients

• Dextrose (Glucose) monohydrate 10% w/v (10 g per 100 mL)

Direction

For intravenous infusion only, administered by a physician or qualified healthcare professional. Dose, rate and duration are individualized to the patient's fluid, electrolyte and caloric needs. Do not use unless the solution is clear and the container is undamaged; discard any unused portion.
