Daflon 1000 mg

Indication

A venotonic and vascular protector used to relieve the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency of the legs (heavy, aching, swollen legs) and for the treatment of acute haemorrhoidal attacks.

Ingredients

• Micronized purified flavonoid fraction 1000 mg (diosmin 900 mg and flavonoids expressed as hesperidin 100 mg)

Direction

Take orally as directed by a doctor. Usual dose for venous insufficiency is 1 tablet daily; for acute haemorrhoidal attacks a higher short-term dose may be prescribed. Read the enclosed leaflet.

Side effects

• Mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea
• stomach discomfort
• diarrhoea)
• Dizziness
• headache or general malaise
• Skin rash or itching (uncommon)

Precautions

• Treatment of an acute haemorrhoidal attack should not replace the treatment of other anal disorders — see a doctor if symptoms persist
