Indication

Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections.

Ingredients

• Levofloxacin (as Levofloxacin Hemihydrate) 500 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily, or as prescribed; complete the full course of treatment.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhoea
• headache
• or dizziness may occur.
• Rarely
• tendon inflammation or rupture
• and tingling or numbness of the hands or feet.
• Seek medical help if a severe allergic reaction
• rash
• or tendon pain occurs. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Not recommended for people with known hypersensitivity to quinolones.
• Use with caution in patients with a history of tendon disorders
• epilepsy
• or kidney impairment
• avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless prescribed.
