Indication

For the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and for the prevention of chronic stable angina and vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina in adults.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine (as besilate) 5 mg

Direction

Usually one tablet once daily, or as directed by the doctor. Swallow with water; may be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Ankle or leg swelling (oedema)
• Flushing
• headache and dizziness
• Palpitations and tiredness
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Do not exceed the indicated dose
• Use with caution in severe liver impairment and severe aortic stenosis
• May cause low blood pressure
