Pediasolvent 1.6 mg / ml

Indication

Mucolytic that thins, loosens and clears mucus from the chest. Decreases sputum thickness for the treatment of chesty (productive) coughs with mucus.

Ingredients

• Bromhexine HCl 1.6 mg per ml

Direction

Oral drops/solution, measured only with the supplied syringe. Children 1-5 years: 1.25 ml three times a day. Children 6-12 years: 2.5 ml three times a day. Over 12 years and adults: 5-10 ml three times a day. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 0.75 mg/kg/day without consulting your doctor. Not for injection.

• Generally well tolerated
• may occasionally cause gastric upset or nausea. If any unusual reaction occurs

Precautions

• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if the patient has bronchial asthma or narrowing of the bronchial lumen
