Indication
- Stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation - Prevention of deep vein thrombosis - Prevention of pulmonary embolism - Treatment of deep vein thrombosis - Treatment of pulmonary embolism
Ingredients
- Apixaban
Direction
Take orally twice daily with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water at the same times each day.
Side effects
- Easy bruising
- Nosebleeds
- Bleeding gums
- Nausea
- Anemia
- Blood in urine or stool
Precautions
- High risk of serious bleeding
- Not for prosthetic heart valves
- Renal impairment requires dose adjustment
- Hepatic impairment monitoring
- Risk of spinal/epidural hematoma
- Do not stop without medical advice
