Esoflux 40 mg

Indication

Proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid. Used for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, heartburn, erosive oesophagitis, stomach and duodenal ulcers, and as part of Helicobacter pylori eradication.

Ingredients

• Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually swallowed whole with water at least one hour before a meal; do not chew or crush.

Side effects

• May include headache
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea
• constipation
• nausea and flatulence. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Long
• term use may affect vitamin B12
• magnesium and bone health. Tell your doctor if you have liver disease or are taking other medicines. Persistent symptoms should be investigated to exclude serious disease. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
