Indication
- High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) - Prevention of cardiovascular disease - Reducing risk of stroke - Reducing risk of heart attack - Management of dyslipidemia
Ingredients
- Atorvastatin
Direction
Take orally once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Follow the exact dosage prescribed by your doctor.
Side effects
- Muscle or joint pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Sore throat
- Elevated liver enzymes
Precautions
- Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Monitor liver function tests regularly
- Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice
- Risk of muscle pain (myopathy)
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
