Indication

Long-acting corticosteroid sterile suspension for deep intramuscular injection, indicated in allergic states, dermatologic diseases, collagen diseases, synovitis and arthritis.

Ingredients

• Triamcinolone Acetonide 80 mg

Direction

Deep intramuscular injection into the gluteal muscle, 20-80 mg per administration. The dose may be adjusted according to the severity of the disease. The product should be used strictly by physicians. Shake the ampoule well before use. Dosage and interval as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• As with other corticosteroids: fluid retention and oedema
• raised blood pressure
• raised blood glucose
• weight gain
• increased appetite
• insomnia
• mood changes
• muscle weakness
• osteoporosis with prolonged use
• thinning of the skin
• delayed wound healing
• increased susceptibility to infection
• menstrual irregularities and adrenal suppression. Local reactions may include pain
• skin and subcutaneous fat atrophy
• and depigmentation at the injection site. If you experience any adverse effects
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to triamcinolone acetonide and in all conventional contraindications to cortisone therapy
• in particular peptic ulcer
• unmanaged infections or mycotic conditions
• certain viral infections
• and osteoarthritis of the hip. Not for intravenous
• intrathecal
• epidural or intraocular use. Prolonged or repeated use can suppress the adrenal glands
• do not stop long
• term treatment abruptly. Use with caution in diabetes
• hypertension
• heart failure
• osteoporosis
• glaucoma
• psychiatric illness
• and in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid live vaccines during treatment. Prescription drug — to be administered strictly by a physician. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
