Indication

- Essential hypertension (high blood pressure) - Cardiovascular risk reduction - Prevention of myocardial infarction - Stroke prevention in high-risk patients

Ingredients

• Telmisartan

Direction

Take one tablet orally once daily with or without food. Tablets should remain in their blister pack until immediately before use to protect from moisture.

Side effects

• Dizziness
• Back pain
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Sinusitis
• Diarrhea
• Fatigue

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pregnancy (fetal toxicity)
• Monitor for hyperkalemia (high potassium)
• Risk of hypotension (low blood pressure)
• Use caution with renal impairment
• Avoid with dual RAAS blockade
