Indication

- Ventricular arrhythmias - Atrial fibrillation - Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia - Life-threatening heart rhythm disorders

Ingredients

• Amiodarone Hydrochloride

Direction

Take orally as prescribed, usually starting with a high loading dose followed by a lower maintenance dose. It can be taken with or without food but should be taken consistently.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting
• Blue
• gray skin discoloration
• Corneal microdeposits
• Photosensitivity
• Tremor or ataxia
• Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism

Precautions

• Monitor pulmonary function regularly
• Regular thyroid function tests required
• Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice
• Risk of severe drug interactions
• Monitor liver function enzymes
• Avoid prolonged sun exposure
