Indication
- Upper respiratory tract infections - Lower respiratory tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - H. pylori eradication - Community-acquired pneumonia - Acute sinusitis
Ingredients
- Clarithromycin
Direction
Take orally with or without food. Usually one tablet every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days as prescribed.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea or abdominal pain
- Dysgeusia (metallic taste)
- Headache
- Dyspepsia
Precautions
- History of macrolide allergy
- Monitor patients with hepatic impairment
- Risk of QT prolongation
- History of cardiac arrhythmias
- Adjust dose for renal impairment
