Indication

Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections when prescribed by a clinician.

Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole 400 mg and trimethoprim 80 mg per scored tablet

Direction

Take by mouth only at the prescribed dose and complete the prescribed course.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• rash or allergic reactions
• seek urgent care for severe rash or breathing difficulty.

Precautions

• Prescription antibiotic. Do not use during pregnancy unless no suitable alternative exists and a clinician specifically directs it. Inform the clinician about sulfonamide allergy.
