Indication
- Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - Prevention of ulcer recurrence - Relief of acid indigestion and heartburn
Ingredients
- Famotidine
Direction
Take orally with or without food. For ulcers or GERD, usually taken once daily at bedtime or twice daily as prescribed.
Side effects
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Dry mouth
Precautions
- Dosage adjustment needed in renal impairment
- May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy
- Use with caution during pregnancy
- Monitor for CNS effects in elderly patients
