Ciprofloxacin 200 mg/100 mL intravenous infusion

Indication

Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections when intravenous ciprofloxacin is clinically indicated.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin 200 mg per 100 mL as ciprofloxacin lactate
• Sodium chloride 900 mg per 100 mL

Direction

For intravenous administration only. Administer by slow infusion under the direction of a registered medical practitioner and use the package insert for dosing.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhea
• abdominal discomfort
• headache
• or infusion
• site reactions may occur.
• Stop and seek medical advice for severe allergy
• tendon pain
• or serious neurologic symptoms.

Precautions

• Use only on prescription and under medical supervision.
• Do not use if the infusion is leaking
• cloudy
• or contains undissolved particles
• protect from light.
