Indication

Treatment or prevention of susceptible anaerobic bacterial and protozoal infections when intravenous metronidazole is prescribed by a physician.

Ingredients

• Metronidazole 0.5 g per 100 mL
• Sodium chloride 0.9 g per 100 mL
• Water for injection q.s.

Direction

For intravenous administration only; use the prescribed dose and infusion procedure under medical supervision and consult the package leaflet.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• abdominal discomfort
• headache
• dizziness
• or metallic taste
• seek medical attention for severe allergy
• confusion
• numbness
• or seizures.

Precautions

• Do not use if the container is leaking
• the solution is not clear
• or visible solid particles are present.
• Tell the clinician about liver disease
• neurologic disease
• pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• or alcohol use during treatment.
