Candid V-1 500 mg

Indication

Candid V-1 is a single-dose vaginal tablet containing Clotrimazole, an imidazole antifungal used to treat vaginal candidiasis (thrush) caused by Candida species.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 500 mg

Direction

Adults (women): Insert one vaginal tablet (500 mg) as high as possible into the vagina, preferably at bedtime, as a single dose. An applicator is usually provided. Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment.

Side effects

• Common: local vaginal burning
• itching
• or irritation at application site.
• Uncommon: allergic contact dermatitis.
• Rare: systemic allergic reaction.

Precautions

• For vaginal use only.
• Avoid during the first trimester of pregnancy
• use in 2nd and 3rd trimesters only on medical advice.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve after 7 days or recur within 2 months.
• May damage latex condoms and diaphragms — use alternative contraception.
• Consult a doctor if this is the first episode of vaginal candidiasis.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
