Indication

NEO-CODION is an antitussive (cough suppressant) used for the symptomatic relief of dry, irritating cough. The codeine component suppresses the cough reflex centrally, noscapine has peripheral antitussive action, and chlorphenamine provides antihistamine relief.

Ingredients

• Codeine phosphate 10 mg
• Noscapine 12 mg
• Chlorphenamine maleate 4 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets up to 3 times daily as needed. Do not exceed 6 tablets per day. Not recommended for children under 15 years without medical advice. Take with water.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and sedation.
• Constipation.
• Nausea and vomiting.
• Dry mouth.
• Urinary retention.
• Risk of dependence with prolonged use.

Precautions

• Contains codeine — risk of dependence with prolonged use.
• Contraindicated in patients with respiratory depression
