Ciprocin 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, as prescribed by a physician. Ciprofloxacin should be used only for bacterial infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin 500 mg per film
• coated tablet (as ciprofloxacin hydrochloride)

Direction

Take only as directed by a physician. Follow the prescribed dose and duration; do not self-medicate or stop early without medical advice.

Side effects

• Possible effects include nausea and diarrhea. Ciprofloxacin can also cause serious reactions including tendon inflammation or rupture

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to ciprofloxacin
• other quinolone antibiotics
• or product ingredients. Ciprofloxacin must not be taken with tizanidine. Tell a healthcare professional about current medicines and relevant medical conditions. Stop and seek urgent advice for tendon pain or swelling
• severe allergic reactions
• nerve symptoms
• or serious mood or nervous
• system changes. Antibiotics do not treat viral infections.
