Dosmectine 3 g / 20 mL

Indication

Relief of symptoms associated with esophageal, gastric, duodenal and enteric disorders, and treatment of acute or chronic diarrhea.

Ingredients

• Dioctahedral smectite 3 g per 20 mL sachet

Direction

Shake or mix the sachet before use. Adults: take 20 mL three to four times daily; during the first 3 days of acute diarrhea, the daily dose may be doubled. Children over 24 months: take 20 mL two to three times daily for the first 3 days, then 20 mL twice daily for 4 days. Take between meals for diarrhea and after meals for esophagitis. Follow a healthcare professional's advice.

Side effects

• Constipation may occur. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• The adsorbent effect may reduce absorption of other medicines
• separate administration and ask a doctor or pharmacist about timing. Use in children only for those over 24 months as labeled. Maintain fluid intake during diarrhea and seek medical advice if symptoms are severe or persist.
