Woods' Peppermint Antitussive Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5 mg / diphenhydramine hydrochloride 12.5 mg per 5 mL syrup

Indication

For non-productive cough due to allergy.

Ingredients

• Each 5 mL contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5 mg
• diphenhydramine hydrochloride 12.5 mg

Direction

Shake well before use. Adults and children older than 12 years: 10 mL three times daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL three times daily. Follow a physician's advice, especially for children.

Side effects

• May cause vomiting
• dizziness
• drowsiness
• or constipation.

Precautions

• Not for productive cough. Seek medical advice if cough persists for more than 3 days.
• Not recommended for children under 6 years unless advised by a physician.
• Use caution with alcohol
• tranquilizers
• liver disorders
• or breathing disorders
• do not drive or operate machinery while using this medicine.
• Contraindicated during pregnancy or lactation and in patients with glaucoma
• bronchial asthma
• respiratory failure
• or hypersensitivity to the ingredients.
• Concomitant use with MAO inhibitors may cause central nervous system stimulation and severe respiratory depression.
